About
A note from Joseph.
With prayer and guidance, I felt called to establish this faith-based company. Through Him, I believe it will offer blessings to our community, family, and the clients we serve.
The sting of death or separation from loved ones affects all of us at some point on this journey. For me, it is one of life's greatest mysteries: we live to die and die to live. As you grow older, you learn the fragility of life and how we are to be prepared for His coming. We all write our own stories in this place. I'll tell you a bit about myself.
I grew up in rural farm country in Northwest Ohio, running through bean fields and catching fireflies — where you tried out for the team and always made the team. It was a solid foundation at Holy Family Catholic Church: faith, farming, and family. I had no intentions of moving to a large city; the country has a fabulous feeling of true freedom. However, in 2002, God pointed me to the Detroit Metro area. My wife and I met at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Royal Oak and married in 2007. We decided to root in Troy to start a family. Both of us were building careers in the auto industry.
In 2010, our first child arrived — and it's true: the toughest job that you will ever love. We continued on the path of progression in our careers and our family's faith at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Troy. I felt the call to serve, moved my Knights of Columbus membership to Troy, and became an usher. In 2012, our second child arrived. It was our first awakening. My wife decided to take some time out of the corporate world to witness our son's firsts that we had missed with our daughter.
In 2015, we moved our family to a home able to handle our aging parents' needs. Although my father passed in 2016 and never saw the home, I feel his presence here. The remaining grandparents have stayed with us multiple times to recuperate from surgeries and health issues. It has been a blessing from God. Another awakening occurred in 2019 for my wife — she decided to leave a successful supply chain career to become a teacher. Although concerned, I trusted the Lord and my wife's calling. Our son needed her guidance as he entered school, and with COVID in 2020, it turned out to be a great blessing for her to assist in their schooling and manage the home.
In 2021, my mother passed away unexpectedly. We had a special bond and it hit me very hard. With continued faith in His plan, I continued my journey in the city — I needed to uphold my duties as a father and spouse. My heart was frequently left in Ohio during this period. The following year, my wife started her teaching career. Life has a way of balancing highs and lows, though. Just before Christmas, my wife's father passed from a returning cancer. We were reeling from grief but trusted in our Lord to lead us forward.
In 2023, I had spent 24 years in the auto industry at varied levels in finance — from plant analyst at a supplier to assembly plant controller. I experienced my first exit from a downsizing on my mother-in-law's 70th birthday. God was clearly trying to get my attention, and He did. I didn't succumb to bad habits; instead, I walked to mass daily at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. I prayed for Him to show me the way and protect our family. He provided an opportunity five miles from my home with similar compensation. He brought me closer to Him and even answered our prayers.
During this experience, I began to develop the New Beginnings business concept — including the name. As I started a new plant controller role, I would work on the business idea when new thoughts were given to me. The ideas came in bits and pieces during reflective times. Over the past years, I have been praying for a way to marry my faith and work. In 2026, the message became stronger from Him through various experiences and comments from others. I could no longer deny some type of calling here, and was introduced to Venerable Father Bruno Lanteri's Nunc Coepi — Now, I begin.
